Raised in churches, juke joints, and tent revivals in Louisiana and Mississippi by herpreacher, guitar-playing father and folk songwriter mother, Serabee is a stunning singersongwriter, and pianist that can be compared to: Ray Charles, Professor Longhair,Jerry Lee, and Dr. John. Striking out on her own, she began performing in New Orleans and Mississippi clubs, where she garnered quite a local following. Sera soon went on to pursue her dreams,as a naturally gifted songwriter, with a strong commercial appeal, to getting signed tomajor labels. Her first label deal came at 22 at Dreamworks under the guidance ofLenny Waronker and producer Gary Katz (Steely Dan). She struck gold when shepenned the number one smash “Crazy Chick” for platinum sensation Charlotte Churchin 2009. That took her around the world a few times, and after a few more major labeldeals, Sera got dismayed, and she returned to her hometown of Kiln, Mississippi.Serabee signed with historical Louisiana independent label, Rabadash Records, producing her latest albums, including 2022's Hummingbird Tea.

Russel Batiste, Jr. then came on as drummer for Serabee's Roots Revival Band untilhis recent passing. Russel's brother, Jamal Batiste performed on Serabee's latestholiday single, "Bayou Christmas."
