From the coast of northern Norway, to the Gulf Coast; Bjoern Nilsen has got 80+ cuts recorded by other artists, including three European top-5 hits (Hot Disc Top-40), and several Norwegian hits. His songs have been featured in the Netflix series DAG, and many other TV series and movies. Three songs by Nilsen were #1 hits in Norway in 2018, and “Twangin'” was theme song for the Oslo-Americana-Sessions radio show. Linda Gail Lewis, Dallas Moore + Billy Don Burns, Ottar Big Hand Johansen + Claudia Scott, Geir “Milkman” Bertheussen, Odin Brennhaug, Hilljacks, and Country Queens Folkband have recently released his compositions. He has co-writes with aces such as Joe Sun, Casino Steel, Jeff Wasserman, Amanda Pruitt, and Byron Hill to his name. With his band Nilsen's Southern Harmony, three albums, two EPs and a handful of singles have been released. The new album "SUGARADO", was named "Country album of the year" by The Southland Music Line (Mississippi, US), and «Holdin' on to Nothin'» was at #12 on their best songs of 2024 list. This song was also #1 two weeks in a row on J.C.'s weekly music chart. «Lonely Was My Middle Name» from SUGARADO was the second most requested song from Sept '24 to April '25 at LDM Radio (New York, US), got a nomination for "Country song of the year", and it was put in Heavy Rotation by UK Country Radio. «Pray Like You Mean It» (written with Austin Church), was nominated for Country Song of the Year at LDM Music Awards, and it made the awsome American Songwriter magazines playlist – Hot Indie Favorites.
